Anthropologie is full of lust-worthy, totally stunning furniture. You know, the kind of sofas and tables and mirrors you daydream about. But with that dreamy aesthetic often comes a price tag that's out of your range — fortunately, you're not doomed to wishful thinking forever, because often, you can find similar products that will give your home the same ultra-chic effect all while working within your budget. It just might require a little searching.
Tulip Chair in Velvet, $1598, Anthropologie
In this case, , the stunning, scallop-backed mid-century style armchair with gold metal legs seen above, will run you anywhere from $1,398 to $1,598 (the higher price is for the options with velvet fabric.) But what if told you that there's a chair out there that's just as swoon-worthy, for less than $500? Enter the Margo chair, , which you can check out below.
Margo Velvet Chair, $474.54, Walmart
Can you spot the differences between the two? Sure. Most noticeably, Walmart's Margo chair has a curve along the back that Anthropologie's Tulip chair does not — and the channel tufting on the Margo chair is closer together with narrower panels. They also come in different color options — the Tulip chair is customizable, so the options abound, while the Margo chair comes in blue, black, or cream. But otherwise, it's pretty safe to say both chairs are aesthetically very close, and definitely give off the same style vibe.
And if you're worried about a difference in comfort or depth, know that their measurements are just about the same — there's only a half-inch difference in width and depth (the Anthropologie chair is ever-so-slightly wider, while Walmart's option is just a tiny bit deeper). The only real difference there is that the Margo chair is taller (43 inches versus 29.5). Basically, if you want to get the look for less, you totally can.
