For a single client's apartment in New York City, Buzzetta crafted a look that's "classic, but with a masculine, contemporary twist," the designer says. Matte Venetian-plaster walls are accented by high-gloss trim in Benjamin Moore's San Antonio Gray. ("High gloss adds so much drama.") A Restoration Hardware banquette is custom upholstered in blue velvet, and the octagonal mirror, a Pier 1 Imports find, is framed by delicate French Art Deco sconces. Buzzetta stitched together two rugs to cover the floor, one of his favorite tricks for staying on budget. An artwork propped on the windowsill is a clever air-conditioner disguise.
