Move over, paint companies: KitchenAid is officially making its mark on the trend, but in the home appliances space. "Color has long been a part of the KitchenAid heritage. As we look forward, we want to continue cultivating inspiration in the kitchen through our design," Nikki Lockett, U.S. Marketing Leader for KitchenAid Small Appliances, said in a . The company hopes its first color choice, a tropical-inspired shade, will provide an escape from the everyday and encourage customers to take on more culinary adventures.

That's why the company is offering an array of products for different purposes, including the Artisan Series 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer (available in April for $460). Here she is in all her glory.

Other appliances up for grabs includes the Artisan Mini 3.5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer (available in April for $400), the 5-Speed Diamond Blender (available in April for $160), the 3.5 Cup Mini Food Processor (available in July for $50), the 2-Speed Hand Blender (available in July for $60), and the 5-Speed Ultra Power Hand Mixer (available in July for $60).

And if you can't picture this shade with the rest of your kitchen, the company has a few ideas on that topic as well: "It looks great on its own, but, also pairs beautifully with the deep, lush greens we are seeing everywhere in interior design right now," says McConnell. Sigh. With all this tropical design talk, we suddenly have a hankering for a piƱa colada, preferably made in a Bird of Paradise-colored blender.
