Rows of technicolor homes might not suit every city (we'd be certainly be surprised if every brownstone in Brooklyn was suddenly a "purplestone" or a "pinkstone" — though ). But New Orleans is another story. Historically, the city has always embraced painting its Victorians and shotgun-style homes in a rainbow of shades.
Photographer Laura Steffan has made it her unofficial job to document the city's lovely array of houses, and now is loaded with happy hues.
Even if you're not quite ready to take a paint brush to your home's exterior any time soon, you still might want to double-tap the palettes you love. Coral and violet paint might stick out like a sore thumb in your current neighborhood, but in your bedroom? Yes, please.
