Police have issued about a certain type of clothing hook that is popping up in public bathrooms. At first glance, nothing seems suspicious, but upon further investigation these hooks contain a hidden camera used for filming people.
These sneaky hook's barely noticeable camera films through a small hole on top of the mount. They can be purchased as "home surveillance device" at online retailers for as low as $13.
Last year, Florida police issued a statement saying that similar devices were found hidden in women's restrooms across the state. At the time they warned "anyone who has a public restroom on their property needs to check them closely. If you find anything suspicious you think might contain a hidden camera, don't touch it. Call us right away and we will respond."
If you notice one of these hooks in a public place, be sure to leave the area and alert authorities immediately.
