Yes, recycling is good for the planet, but did you know it could make it prettier, too? Proof: These mesmerizing sculptures from Czech artist Veronika Richterová.
Richterová crafts quirky cacti, lobsters, roses, and more from PET containers (the molded plastic bottles that hold your favorite soft drink) by applying heat to the bottle until it melts into the shape she desires, sometimes combining several bottles into one larger-than-life sculpture.
If you're ever in the Czech Republic, don't forget to stop by her PET-ART Museum, which contains more than 3,000 sculptures from artisans in 76 countries. If you ask us, recycling should always look this great.
