Time to spice up your life? You're in luck: Former Spice Girl and America’s Got Talent judge Mel B is selling the L.A. home she once d with her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte—for a cool $5.9 million. The couple bought the house back in 2014 and have since separated.
Situated in the celebrity-saturated Bird Streets neighborhood near West Hollywood—where residents are only a five-minute drive to the Sunset Strip and enjoy impeccable views of the city—the house was originally built in 1928 but went through a major renovation in 2016. Encompassing 5,226 square feet with four bedrooms and six bathrooms, the home boasts three marble-framed fireplaces, Baccarat chandeliers, and a glass-encased wine closet in the dining room. But the master suite is where it’s at. Taking up the entire top floor (zigazig-ah!), it is equipped with two TVs, a fridge, microwave, and dual bathrooms (each with their own walk-in closets), as well as chic private terraces offering views of Downtown LA. Talk about what you really, really want!
A Control4 Smart Home system allows you to play music, change the lighting, pull down the shades, and light the fireplaces (yes, you can ignite a fire remotely for instant romance) across all spaces, indoors and out. There are even panic buttons installed around the house to call the police.
Naturally, the home features a recording studio (for your podcast!), a home theater with big, cozy leather chairs, a fully equipped gym, chef’s kitchen, game room, as well as two guest suites connected by a family room.
Let’s talk about the outdoor situation. The pool and spa area include an outdoor television, fire pit, built-in grill, beer tap, icemaker, sink and fridge. The garage has parking for four cars. And of course, there are security cameras and privacy hedges, so Instagrammers won’t snap you taking out the trash in your undies.
If you can’t swing owning Mel B’s former home, you can check her out this summer in the Spice Girls Reunion tour around the UK.
