Tom Brady might've been the star of the Super Bowl on Sunday night, but he probably couldn't have secured his sixth championship win without the support of his wife, Gisele Bündchen. The Patriots quarterback opened up about his supermodel spouse, who he calls his "rock," in a new interview with Good Morning America today.
“I married someone that ... I know is my life partner,” Brady told Michael Strahan on the morning show. “She's just one of the most caring, nurturing people in the world.”
“The way she takes care of our family when I'm working, sacrificing a lot of her dreams,” he continued. “I can only tell her I love her so much.”
Bündchen was seen celebrating her husband's win in the stands during Sunday night's game. A clip from the broadcast shows her jumping up in excitement and high-fiving viewers around her.
When Gisele finally met her hubby on the field, she told him "a lot of things," Brady teased to GMA. "It's an emotional time for all of us, and she's so proud. She's just proud of everyone. She loves seeing everyone like Jules [the Patriots' Julian Edelman] and Gronk [Rob Gronkowski] do well; the guys have been around for a while."
But the lead-up to the Super Bowl wasn't exactly smooth sailing for the Bündchen-Brady bunch. "She was tired," Tom explained. "It's a long week for everybody. My middle son was sick. So, you know, just being a parent, you're on the road, you have all of these things going on, your son's not feeling good, so she was holding [him] most of the game. It was just a great experience for our family."
Brady added that his children seem to be following in his athletic footsteps, including his six-year-old daughter, Vivian. The football star wants her to go into hockey, but Gisele doesn't seem on board.
"My wife is like, 'Over my dead body. You're not putting her out there!" Brady said with a laugh.
However, the couple agrees that as parents, "we just want our kids happy," he added.
The former Victoria's Secret model wasn't Brady's only family member in the crowd. Their kids, Vivian and Benjamin, as well as Brady's son Jack from his previous relationship with Bridget Moynahan, were also watching proudly. The Patriots star told GMA that his parents and sisters were present, too.
The support is mutual between Bündchen and Brady. "She's got my back. I have no doubt about that. And she knows I have hers," he added to GMA.
