Marie Kondo recently headed to Jimmy Kimmel Live to help the the host tidy up his office space. During the process, Marie d a tidbit that will definitely please her fans who are avid readers. "I read that you said that you should only have 30 books," Jimmy told Marie, as they looked at stacks upon stacks of books from a large shelf.
Per her translator, Marie replied, "I don't know where that rumor came from. That's a complete misconception." Cue the sigh of relief from all my fellow readers!
She did go ahead and "wake the books up" a little bit, though, by tapping on the various stacks. This is part of her KonMari method—to "wake" the books before sorting them.
While she paid Jimmy's office a visit, Marie also encouraged the TV host to "express his gratitude" for his black socks (which fill an entire drawer). Jimmy says, "Thanks, socks, for always being in the drawer, and for protecting my feet."
Watch the segment for yourself, and see what other items spark joy for Jimmy!
