Most people have their favorite holiday jams, many of which are classics from the likes of Bing Crosby and Diana Ross, but others are modern takes on the old versions by artists like Mariah Carey and, of course, John Legend.
Following the 86th Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, John's album came to life on NBC's "A Legendary Christmas" with John and Chrissy and I speak for everyone when I say we didn't deserve that hour of pure joy.
Perhaps the best part of the entire hour, though—sorry John, your solo performances were magical and, yes, Kris Jenner, your appearance in that plaid suit was historic—was when the Caroling All-Stars took to a neighborhood to surprise unsuspecting fans with magical Christmas tunes.
Meghan Trainor, Darren Criss, Ralphael Saadiq, and Jane Lynch joined John and Chrissy in their first ever caroling adventures singing "Jingle Bells," "Silent Night," "The 12 Days of Christmas," and "Joy to the World." One of the other carolers even stole John and Chrissy's spotlight as a fan was so excited to see her favorite singer, Meghan Trainor. Meghan responded jokingly saying "Don't let John hear you!"
The fan then naturally professed her love for La La Land to which Chrissy trolled John saying, "OK, he had a small role, first of all." You have to watch the full episode to get the whole experience, but you should first start with Christmas Caroling All-Star segment:
Now, go check out John's Soundcloud like he said.
