If you've shopped for a media console just once, you likely winced at the idea of paying so much for an item that, yes, looks great, but primarily serves the purpose of holding your cable box and a bunch of ugly wires. Here's a thought: Skip out on the traditional console entirely. Instead, you could find a sleeker, more affordable option, like Camille Styles, who turned an old outdoor bench into a stylish table and conceals everything so well you'll be like, wait, where IS the media on this console?
So, let's play a really fun game. Can you spot where the television and wires are hiding in this photo?
It's all right there, I promise. It's just hidden with the work of Camille's trickery and genius. While her blog is filled with all of the tips and design inspiration you could possibly need, it turns out that her home is like a board IRL, too. Using the outdoor bench, Camille turned a wall into an art gallery. On it, she places planters, photos, and a coffee table book.
And now, finally, what you've been waiting for. That gorgeous beach photo hanging on the wall? That's actually a television. Camille has The Frame, a television by Samsung that has a setting to look like a photo frame. And for the wiring, Camille conceals them with that really cute basket you see underneath he bench. Yes. It's OK if you're kicking yourself for never thinking of doing that.
It's sort of crazy what a difference the television makes, and, well, the basket will forever be something I praise and carry with me while setting up a TV in my home.
