Get ready to lust after another amazing celebrity property, because Scarlett Johansson just bought a house in New York, and it literally looks like a country garden dream. Just wait until you see the pool.
The four-bedroom house in Snedens Landing, Rockwell County (about an hour outside of Manhattan), sits on 0.79 acres overlooking the Hudson river. It's completely covered in ivy, earning it the nickname Ivy House. It also features wrought-iron balconies, gardens, brick patios, footpaths, and a pool with a cabana house.
One of our favorite features is the bay window with a panoramic view of the river in the living room. It's understated, but still totally luxe. There's also a fireplace in the living room and French doors leading to a glass-enclosed greenhouse.
The house has two dining spaces, a den, tennis courts, and a carriage house. So how much does a country escape outside of Manhattan run you? The actress scooped this property up for a casual $4 million. It was designed by the same architect, Eric Gugler, who was hired by President Franklin D. Roosevelt to design the West Wing of the White House, and Katharine Hepburn was a frequent guest at the house.
