Target became the new go-to wine stop this summer when it announced $5 bottles of vino that actually taste pretty great. Just in time for the holidays, the superstore is adding to its in-house collection with a bubbly line that we already want to bring to every party this season.
Target's new line is called Bravino, and includes two sparkling wines that are on store shelves now. There's a Prosecco and a Sparkling Rosé (see, it's not just for summer!), and each bottle costs $9.99. While there are a fair amount of sparkling wines and rosés around this price point, it's still a steal, and the fact that you can pick 'em while on an inevitable Target run makes them all the more convenient. Plus, the bottles look super fancy, so no one will guess they're from Tar-jay.
The rosé is crisp and dry with berry and pear flavors. The prosecco is dry and bubbly with apple, peach and citrus flavors, and tastes great with mild cheeses and salty snacks.
The two wines will be available beyond the holidays as part of Target's growing wine and beer collection. Wine, beer and other alcoholic beverages (like hard seltzer) are among Target's fastest-growing categories, the brand says, and during Thanksgiving alone the company expects to sell more than a million bottles of wine. Given the super-reasonable price point, we can see why.
