Victorian balconies and go together like Mardi Gras and beads. And not to play favorites, but if a house could be the queen of festival season in the Big Easy, we think this yellow looker deserves the title. It offers four floors of gorgeous living space on the edge of the popular French Quarter district (for a cool ) — and is just as beautiful on the inside as out.
Once you walk through the front doors you'll find a grand parlor with 16-foot-high ceilings, Corinthian columns, and original medallions. And the finishings don't disappoint either. There's tufted furniture with sophisticated prints and built-in bookshelves with enough storage space to rival your local library.
Meanwhile, the neutral palette and modest furniture in the kitchen means the cooking space clearly prioritizes function over fanciness — which in a city with such fabulous food is probably for the best.
But don't worry: The glamour continues (and then some) in the master bedroom. It's lined with windows, glamorous accessories (like that chandelier!), and features a bathroom with a marble fireplace that's so big we thought it was another bedroom (that is, until we spotted the glass shower in the corner).
