Of all the celebrities we'd expect to have an exquisitely beautiful (and palatial) home, Jeff Bridges wouldn't be the immediate name that came to mind. Yet, here we are with a serious case of house envy over The Dude's incredible Montecito, California, estate.
In this case, it's not about the price tag (a hefty $29.5 million) or the amusing celebrity lineage (the property was previously owned by Kenny "Danger Zone" Loggins). Heck, it's not even about the home's massive presence and Tuscan details.
Quite simply, the appeal of this home is all in the truly incredible landscaping. With 19 acres in total, the estate offers an incredible array of stunning sights: a pool with a cascading waterfall, lush gardens, walking trails with picture-perfect views, and a gorgeous outdoor dining space.
Here's a look at some of our favorite feature, along with select views of the (equally expansive) interior.
The Pacific makes a naturally breathtaking backdrop to this seating area.
A waterfall is the focal point of the pond-like pool.
We imagine that this beautiful setting makes any meal memorable.
The dreamy pergola lets sunlight filter through in this more formal dining area.
An interesting mix of ornamental grasses and native trees surround a walking path.
We love the decorative brickwork above the fireplace in the living room.
The home has a more Tuscan feel, which comes through here with the ornate fireplace, exposed beams, and dramatic windows.
Still, though, it's all about that view.
