If you follow design trends, you've probably heard that Pantone just announced its Color of the Year. Apparently, "Living Coral" is going to be everywhere in 2019, from lipsticks to wall colors to sweaters. You could buy up something in the color, or you could celebrate in other ways...like by visiting Pantone's pop-up "pantry."
The Pantone Pantry is a little shed filled with coral products hidden away in drawers and on shelves. Headphones, dice, and other funny objects abound, and the whole thing is extremely Instagram-friendly. The pantry was created by Pantone in partnership with Tribute Portfolio, a new line of hotels by Marriott International with an independent spirit (like the kind that have funky design and bold colors).
The first Pantone Pantry debuted at Art Basel in Miami Beach with more of the pop-ups traveling to other hotels in 2019. If you can't make it to see the pantries in person, there are other ways to play with Living Coral. Start with these eleven orangey-pink products and ten room ideas to get inspired. Happy 2019!
